It is our privilege to serve our community and give a helping hand. These are some of the ways we do so:

Collecting supplies to fill “Flood Buckets” which are sent to areas that have to clean up after a flood.

Food collection for “Panther Packs”, a weekend food program for needy children in our local school district.

Seasonal gift bags. supplied by SUMC, are distributed quarterly along with the “Panther Packs”.

Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes are filled to the brim with necessaries like toothbrushes or washcloths as well as toys and school supplies. These are delivered to needy nations by Samaritan’s Purse.

Monthly food collection for New Hope Ministries.

Funeral meals are provided by our kitchen group after a funeral service to give the family and friends a time to come together. Extra boxes of food are delivered to our shut-ins.

Christmas tree-lighting at the fire station with the SUMC choir singing carols, hot cocoa and cookies, and miniature trains with our very own conductor!
